The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 was held on July 17, 2022. Over 16 lakh aspirants appeared in the exam in 2022 in the medical entrance exams. The NTA or the National Testing Agency is in talks about releasing the answer key and the final result of the competitive examination pretty soon.
Year after year, NTA has released the answer key to the subjective year’s examination around a month after conducting the medical entrance test.
Just last year, NEET UG was conducted on September 12, 2021, and the answer key was later issued on October 15, 2021. The final result of the medical entrance test in 2021 was released on November 01, 2021.
In 2020, the NEET answer key was released on September 26, 2020, followed by the result on October 16, 2020. The actual exam was held on September 13, 2020. So, compared to 2021, the process was quite fast-tracked in 2020.
Since the number of students has increased over the years, it isn’t surprising that NTA is taking more time to monitor and release the answer key, followed by the final result of NEET 2022. Compared to 2022 where 15 lakh students enrolled and appeared for the exam, around 16 lakh students gave the NEET UG 2022 exam.
So, there is a substantial increase in the number of students each year. As per the marking scheme, students get four marks for each correct answer and one mark is deducted for every wrong answer in the exam.
There are no official confirmations regarding the release date of the NEET 2022 answer key and the final result. However, if we follow the patterns from the last few years, chances are that the answer key will be released pretty soon, followed by the official result and ranking for the students to enroll in the allotted medical colleges across India.
